To celebrate the 250th birthday of Beethoven we organize a present for him. He gave us so much music. The Brandenburg Festival and musicians worldwide are now giving him back a collection of interpretations of his most famous melody „Für Elise“, filmed at home with an available camera or smartphone. Whether it is Lang Lang, Christoph Eschenbach, Herbie Hanckock or a young unknwon talent – everybody can participate! We collect the versions and at the end of the extended Beethoven year on December 17,2021, we will hand them over to the Beethoven birthplace in Bonn as part of a ceremony concert where the „Elisen für Beethoven“ will be the theme.
In connection with that we will collect all the submitted versions of „Elise“ as part of our digital „Elisen für Beethoven“ gift box. This box is a screen cube where the Elisen recordings can be heard and watched and which we will donate to the Beethoven Haus in Bonn as a gift. We publish the versions in advance on our media channels. Our aim is a present for Beethoven that money can´t buy.
We look forward to your Elisen interpretation or improvisation!
The „Elisen für Beethoven“ project ends on December 17, 2021. Among all young participants we are raffling off 250 minutes of master classes end encounters with our festival artists.
